How do we raise money?
So whether you’re sporty and want to add an extra reason to cross the finishing line of that run you’ve been thinking about doing or you have family, friends and work colleagues who can all get together and arrange your own fundraising challenge, please join forces with us.
How do we add value?
The Children’s Burns Foundation is an independent fund raising charity. We are separate from the NHS. However, our aim is to add extra value to the fantastic work that the dedicated NHS Burns team does at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital where over 700 children from Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire, Yorkshire and the Lakes are treated each year for burn injuries.
We add value by working closely with organisations such as the NHS, Fire Service and educational bodies to support rehabilitation projects to ensure that burn-injured young people receive the very best care they can.
At the Children’s Burns Foundation we believe improvements in out-comes of clinical burn care can only come from research. This is why we support research projects aimed at preventing the psychological and physical problems resulting from burn injuries and improving the well-being of a burn injured young person.
