Jordan Oldbury
I am a trainee in Burns and Plastic Surgery, currently working at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. I have been involved with the Children’s Burns Foundation since 2012. I enjoy the challenge of encouraging guests at the fundraising events to part with their money! I have also participated in the rehabilitation activities for burn injured children and have witnessed first-hand, the impact made by the funds raised by the Children’s Burns Foundation.
Katrina Keating
I am a paediatric research nurse who has worked in the Burns Service at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital since 2008. Alongside this I have been attending and more recently leading the annual younger children’s residential camp since 2010. I am incredibly honored to be able to help with raising funds for the Children’s Burns Foundation as this is another way that I feel I can help children, young people and their families who have been affected by burn injuries.
Rose Godkin
I am a retired burns nurse and have been a volunteer for the Children’s Burns Foundation for almost 10 years. The CBF raises funds to make a difference to burn injured children. I have seen the changes made to children when they get support from peers and staff while enjoying themselves. I have met them as adults and they still treasure the memories of their time at the camp.
Sarah Chadwick
I am a doctor working in burns and plastic surgery in Manchester for the past 9 years. During that time I have volunteered for the Manchester Childrens’ Burns Camps on several occasions and attended the residential weeks in the Lake District. I have also undertaken research at the University of Manchester into skin pigmentation and scarring and investigated the effects skin colour and depth of skin injury can have on the resulting scars. It has been my privilege to work with the CBF and an honour to meet the inspirational young people they support.
Sarah Hill
I am a Veterinary Surgeon working in North Manchester, I have a particular interest in orthopaedic surgery. I have been volunteering with the CBF for approx. 2 years now. Outside of work I am interested in sports and love to travel the world!
